I was honored to be part of a preview and received and ARC of this before it was released. Cathy Jackson is one of my favorite modern Christian romance authors.
When I started reading, I found that Luke is married and he develops a friendship with Tavora. Knowing it is a romance, I was wondering what can come of this friendship and praying it wouldn't lead the characters astray and they didn't. I found a friendship between the two and a sort of healing that each needed in each other. [I have several male friends who I have no romantic interest in so I can relate]. I saw a broken girl in Tavora and I understand some of her pain. I also Luke's compassion and love for his wife. They help each other and create a bond that is so sweet and so healing, you can't help but love these characters and want to see more from them.
Any book that combines a library and film peaks my interest and then to show the beauty of a friendship and love of God, well it has my approval! Once again Cathy has transported me into the lives of fictional characters and I am thankful for that.
The only downfall is that it is a cliffhanger and I have a strong dislike of those!
